The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) is the 12th-largest school district in the nation, educating over 165,000 students annually. In January 2003, Dallas voters approved a $1.37 billion school bond election, the largest one-time construction project passed in Texas history. DMJM is leading a team providing program management services to the DISD under a contract scope that calls for the renovation and expansion of 218 schools and the construction of 20 new facilities. The project includes the development of a ground-up renovation and construction program, one that requires complex scheduling to allow renovation to proceed while facilities are occupied. DMJM is also responsible for coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing large-scale consultant teams. |
