As part of a base-wide revitalization program, DMJM developed a new master plan and comprehensive design standards for the 152nd Air Wing Air National Guard Base in Nevada. A key project goal was to address the base’s lack of unity and multiple building styles. As a result, the master plan solution promotes a unified campus with a central town square. The design team further developed the building material palette, incorporating existing buildings and those currently under construction while introducing new complementary concepts. The headquarters and base supply complex designed by DMJM is the first completed project in a 10-year revitalization program. The $7.3 million, 37,000–square foot facility occupies a prominent position on the base, and houses both administrative and warehouse functions. The project received a Design Award of Honor from the 2003 U.S. Air Force Design Awards program, the only Air National Guard project to win a USAF award. This was one of two Air National Guard projects so honored by the USAF in 2003. Both projects were designed by DMJM.
